FAQ

What is the best Huss Valley ability?
There is no universal best option, but October guides commonly place Emergency Airhorn, Rocket Shoes and Cloak among the strongest tools.
Is the free One Hit Shield bad?
It is difficult because its timing window is short, but it can still block a decisive hit and teaches reaction timing without costing Gems.
Will this tier list change?
Yes. New abilities, price updates and balance patches can change both the ranking and the value of an unlock.

Tier list at a glance

Tier Abilities
S Emergency Airhorn, Rocket Shoes, Cloak
A Rufus’s Leash, Pocket Door, Inflatable Decoy
B Big Dagger, One Hit Shield
C Bowling Ball
D Bear Trap

This is a starting point synthesized from October 2026 guides, not an official ranking. Role, timing and map state matter more than one letter.

S tier: immediate impact

Emergency Airhorn creates close-range separation for a Runner at the moment it matters. Rocket Shoes give a Chaser a direct mobility burst that can close an angle. Cloak creates uncertainty for several seconds, although it does not make the Runner immune and an item use ends the concealment.

Each has a clear response to pressure, which makes the effect easier to convert into value than a narrow projectile or trap.

A tier: strong with a plan

Rufus’s Leash rewards Chasers who wait for a Runner to commit. Pocket Door changes the route and can buy time even though a Chaser can break it. Inflatable Decoy sends a copy forward, creating a useful read test against an opponent who reacts quickly.

These tools are strong, but careless timing wastes their main advantage.

B through D: narrower windows

Big Dagger improves reach for a short period but still requires positioning. One Hit Shield costs nothing and can stop one hit, yet the reported activation window is extremely short.

Bowling Ball can trip a Runner but is easier to see and avoid than top-tier pressure tools. Bear Trap ranks last in general-purpose strength because its hold is brief, but it remains a free and useful prediction drill. A low tier does not mean unusable.

Spend for your role, not the letter

Read all ability effects and reported prices before buying. Runners should pair the table with the Runner guide; Chasers should study the Chaser guide. If the live shop price differs, follow the Gems and Coins guide and reconsider the value rather than assuming an old screenshot is correct.
